TOPEKA (KSNT) - Tonight was opening night for the fifth annual Zoo Lights at the Topeka Zoo. Many families were out enjoying all of the lights strung around the zoo. Some visitors tonight say they always make it a tradition to come see these lights every year.  Shawnee County considers adding new walking trails "Going in the blue lights," Ben Keckeisen said of his favorite part of the attraction. "I like the rainbow light tunnel," Katie Keckeisen added. "That one is my favorite. I always like going through that one. We love coming to zoo lights, we've been every year since it started. When you were a little baby."  Zoo Lights will be up and running until December 28, 2024 and will be open on Thanksgiving from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are available on the Topeka Zoo's website.  For more local news, click here.
