The headline “Brazilian police indict Bolsonaro in alleged coup plot” (News, Nov. 22) grabbed my attention. Jair Bolsonaro was trying to stay in office after the 2022 election. I looked up Brazil’s form of government: a democracy same as ours. Hm … except with a backbone …. refreshing. Judy Burnstin, Shoreline
