Woman pleads guilty to role in carjacking on Navajo Nation

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The U.S. Attorney's Office announced that Lindsey Yazzie pled guilty for her role in a carjacking on the Navajo Nation in May 2022. Yazzie, along with Brandon Barber, were accused of attacking a woman who was driving a Jeep.
Albuquerque police arrest teen accused of pointing gun at officers
Yazzie threw a rock at the vehicle which caused it to stop. The two then pulled the woman from the vehicle and Yazzie tried to hit the victim in the head with the rock. The two then took the Jeep and led Navajo Nation police on a chase.
Yazzie faces up to 15 years in prison.
