Women’s hockey: Tommies fall at topranked Wisconsin
Nov 22, 2024
The St. Thomas women’s hockey team fell 6-1 at No. 1-ranked Wisconsin in a WCHA matchup at Madison’s Kohl Center.
St. Thomas (5-9-1, 2-8-1 WCHA) were no match for the top team in the country, as Wisconsin (14-1, 10-1) scored early and often on its home ice.
The Badgers opened the scoring at 2:21 of the opening period and then added two more before the first intermission to take a 3-0 lead into the middle interval.
After one more Wisconsin goal, freshman forward Chloe Boreen from Hill-Murray High School lit the lamp for the Tommies at 15:10 of the second period. The third period passed nearly without event until the Badgers wrapped up the contest with one final tally with just 40 seconds until the final horn.Related Articles
