Crews battle fire at vacant church in South Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A fire broke out Friday night at a vacant church in South Memphis. The Memphis Fire Department was on the scene at East Trigg and Hemlock Street around 8:30. "Crews are going defensive," MFD said, and asked people to avoid the area. No injuries have been reported.
