The Zone Banner Winner INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Student sections have been packed and bringing the energy all season competing for the coveted Zone Banner, presented by Bailey & Wood Mortgage Lenders and Crew Carwash. And the winner of The Zone Banner is… Fishers! “We’re so happy,” Fishers senior Sully Hintz said. “I’m so proud of everyone that’s been a part of all of this and this is just an insane feeling right now.” Fishers’ interim principal and athletic director were proud of their students for their school spirit the entire season. “We talk all the time about making sure that our students own their high school experience,” Fishers interim principal Kyle Goodwin said. “And you know, we say high school is not something that happens to you, you have to actively create it. And our student section this year has actively created a student experience like none other, engaging people to come out to all of our games, home and away. It’s been a heck of a year for the Tigers.” “They usually start with requests and ideas well in advance,” Fishers athletic director Rob Seymour said. “As an administrative team, we try to find ways to say yes to their ideas and really support their efforts.” Fishers made AC’s top 8 in seven of the nine week of the regular season. They were impressive throughout the entire season and were active on social media from the opening kickoff. One of the most impressive things they did was this crazy, student section encompassing “We Want The Banner” sign that they showcased multiple times throughout the season. This is Fishers’ first time ever winning The Zone Banner.  News 8 sports director Anthony Calhoun will present Fishers with their championship banner at their gymnasium on Tuesday, November 26.
