CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) — A spot in Central transformed from a regular coffee shop to an all-encompassing space for professionals, students and families. The plan is to continue expanding. The Hausse at Central Square specializes in coffee, breakfast and lunch. The business also serves cocktails and baked goods. "You can work, but there's also places you can go and make phone calls," said Suzanne Tragesser, operating partner. "Ladies can meet with their girlfriends. Men can have business lunches here." The Hausse has a space with a slide and kid-friendly objects and mothers from across the region go there. "The food is great, coffee is amazing and kids can entertain themselves for a while," said one mother who came from Denham Springs. "Kids can run freely and play, while you can actually have an adult conversation." "Our club sandwich is amazing," Tragesser said. The business has a holiday event calendar. This includes "Breakfast for Dinner with Santa" on Dec. 5 from 4-7 p.m. and on Dec. 14 a "Christmas Cookie Contest."
