BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Kern County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted for a homicide that occurred in southeast Bakersfield.
Deputies say Israel Castillo-Ramirez, 40, is wanted for the homicide of Kevin Cortez. At 4:09 a.m., Cortez was shot at a party at a home in the 700 block of McClean Avenue on Sept. 22. Cortez later died from his injuries.
Deputies describe Ramirez to be 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
