APD seeks public help to find north Austin robbery suspect

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's help to find a suspect wanted in connection with a north Austin robbery that happened last month.
Officers responded to the Rutland Market, 900 Rutland Drive, around 10:20 p.m. on Oct. 29 for a report of an aggravated robbery, the agency said in a news release. According to police, the suspect walked into the store and asked to buy cigarettes and then pulled out "a black handgun" and demanded cash from the register.
Police described that suspect as a white man, who is between 45-50 years old, around 5 feet 8 inches-5 feet 10 inches, has a thin build and is possibly "transient."
"He was last seen wearing a black balaclava mask, black hoodie, black gloves, and black pants," police said.

"A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest," police said.
