WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The new pandas at the National Zoo, Bao Li and Qing Bao, experienced their first snowfall in D.C. on Friday morning. Credit: National Zoo The National Zoo shared pictures on X of the duo, adding that "Bao Li ate a carrot and bamboo while watching the flakes fall. After enjoying her apple, Qing Bao ran playfully around her habitat and climbed trees." VIDEO: November snow in DC, Maryland, Virginia The two new pandas arrived in the District on Oct. 15. The pair will be at National Zoo until April 2034, according to NZBI’s new research and breeding agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association. The pandas will make their public debut early next year, on Jan. 24, with a special viewing period for National Zoo members from Jan. 10 to Jan. 19, according to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute (SNZCBI).
