FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man from Hollister was arrested after allegedly driving the wrong-way on Highway 41 while four times above the legal limit, resulting in a crash in Fresno County. CHP says it happened on Highway 41 and South Avenue near Easton on Thursday around 3 p.m. According to officials, a sheriff deputy witnessed the driver, identified as 50-year-old Danny Estrada, driving the wrong way on the highway. The deputy then tried to overtake the wrong way driver and warn traffic ahead, however Estrada crashed into a vehicle before he could be stopped, resulting in injuries to himself and the victim involved. According to CHP, Estrada was a repeat DUI offender. He was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
