SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Three people were arrested and nearly three pounds of narcotics and tens of thousands in cash were seized in a narcotics bust Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department said. The bust was the result of a month-long investigation by the SFPD Narcotics Unit of a suspected narcotics trafficker.
According to police, the suspected trafficker traveled from Oakland to SF daily to sell narcotics. Investigating officers developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the suspect, the suspect's vehicle, and the suspect's Oakland residence.
Narcotics Unit investigators coordinated efforts with SFPD plainclothes officers along with state, local, and federal law enforcement partners to assist in the investigation, search warrant service, and arrests.

According to police, officers located the suspect, 30-year-old Roger Ortiz, in the area of Fulton and Larkin streets on Tuesday. Probable cause was developed to arrest him for narcotics trafficking.
At the time of his arrest, officers found fentanyl, cash and a digital scale on Ortiz's person. Together with the San Francisco Sheriff's Office, U.S. National Guard and U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, SFPD executed the search warrant. During the search, at Ortiz's residence on the 8700 block of Holly Street, officers found cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and $27,000 in cash.
A total of 1,320 grams of narcotics -- the equivalent of roughly three pounds -- was also seized.
During the raid, officers also located two additional suspects, one of which police said was a "known narcotics trafficker." Aris Escoto, 32, of Oakland, and David Romero-Bustillo, 20, also of Oakland, were arrested at the scene.
