TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas' unemployment website is back up and running with a completely revamped system. State officials say the 1970s software couldn't keep up with the number of unemployment claims in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Employees can now process unemployment insurance claims easier while ensuring improved security measures. "There's a lot of planning, development, design and testing that has gone into this system over the last 29 months," said Amber Shultz with the Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL). "With the new modern platform, we have even more tools at our disposal to detect, prevent and mitigate any fraud we see in the system." Gov. Laura Kelly issues two new pardons Friday You can find the new website by clicking here. If you have questions KDOL has a help number at (785) 575-1460. For more Kansas news, click here.
