COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- A male victim is in the hospital after he was shot at an apartment in Colonial Heights on Friday. Police say the suspect may be someone he knows. At about 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, officers with the Colonial Heights Police Department responded to the 300 block of Branders Bridge Road for the report of a person shot. When they arrived, officers found a male victim -- whose age was not shared -- with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. It was determined that the shooting itself took place at an apartment in the 1400 block of Branders Bridge Road. Four juveniles arrested following Petersburg Police chase that caused school lockdowns According to police, the suspect -- who police are working to identify -- may have been known to the victim, though their exact relationship is unconfirmed at this time.
