EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — It may be hard to believe, but the high school football season has reached its conclusion. In this week’s edition of the Friday Night Blitz, 12 Sports' Sam Knox and Mike Uva will preview this weekend's slate of championship games across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts and show highlights from the Game of the Week: Bishop Hendricken vs. La Salle. Providence Journal sportswriter Eric Rueb also joins us highlight the area's top talent. This season, 12 Sports is recognizing players through a new segment called Player of the Week. Voting was open Monday through Wednesday, and fans selected Davies running back Ziahair Gibau as this week's winner.
