MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A new music venue is coming to Midtown and adding to Memphis' music scene, thanks to Crosstown Concourse and venue operator Live Nation. The venue will sit at the corner of Autumn Avenue and Claybrook Street in Midtown, across from the Crosstown parking garage. Construction will begin this winter. (Photo courtesy of Crosstown Concourse) Crosstown Concourse says the state-of-the-art, 35,000 square-foot space will have a 1,300-person capacity and will host 100 events annually. They expect the project to "contribute to the neighborhood’s economic vibrancy through increased foot traffic and permanent job creation." Live Nation also plans to hire over 150 permanent staff, with base pay starting at $20 per hour. Collaborating with Live Nation is hugely important to making Memphis a regular tour stop, bringing artists and musicians to Memphis who otherwise might not have played here,” said Todd Richardson, President and CEO of Crosstown Concourse.
