"We're excited to give families another way to spend time together this holiday season," Vice President of Wet N’ Wild Waterworld Conan Edwards said. "We're always looking for ways to enhance our attractions and offerings, and the 'Magic of Lights Show' will be a unique and festive addition. We want to delight families with something they haven’t seen before and bring more seasonal fun to the community in a new way."
Magic of Lights is a light show that showcases dozens of displays, festive favorites and digital animations that are all made up of millions of LED lights, according to the news release by Wet N' Wild.
Guests can enjoy various themed displays such as Prehistoric Christmas, Winter Wonderland, the 12 Days of Christmas, Toyland, festive elves, Reindeer Road and a 200-foot tunnel of lights.
According to Wet N' Wild, there are about 12.6 miles of light cords with over 2 million lights in Magic of Lights.
In addition, over 800 frames are designed, bent, cut and welded into different combinations for each show's giant holiday scenes.
"Each Magic of Lights show uses about 10 miles of steel to build the displays and 10 miles of LED lighting installed inside the displays, with 10 different colors of LED bulbs used in the shows," said Wet N' Wild.
"We're excited to bring Magic of Lights to Wet N' Wild Waterworld and become a part of El Paso community and holiday traditions," Ken Hudgens, CEO of Family Entertainment Live said. "We hope all that join us are mesmerized by all the lights and 'Magic of Lights' becomes a staple in El Paso."
