CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The City of Charleston is offering free parking for a limited time so visitors and residents can enjoy seasonal shopping downtown. Beginning Nov. 29 until Dec. 31, participating garages will offer free two-hour parking to those with vouchers. How to get your free parking: Grab a ticket from one of the participating garages. When you exit, insert your ticket at the reader. After inserting, scan the parking voucher QR code in the upper right corner of the reader machine. The voucher will then cover two hours. Users must pay remaining time fees. Four downtown garages are participating in the deal, including the Saint Philip Street garage, Visitor Center garage, Majestic Square garage, and Queen Street garage.
