WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- School officials said Eastern Senior High School was on an alert status for a time Friday morning after someone shot a teenage boy near the school's campus. According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), police responded to the 1700 block of East Capitol St. NE for a shooting. The location is the same block as where the high school sits. Police are investigating after a teenage boy was shot near a high school on Nov. 22.
