ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two people died and two others are hospitalized after a car crash on I-490 at Culver Road. One vehicle was involved in the crash. Troopers confirmed to News 8 that the two people were killed as another passenger was taken to the hospital. The condition of the third passenger is unknown. News 8 learned the driver was arrested on the scene after police said he was combative. He was also taken to the hospital and is expected to have minor injuries. Witness George Yelin was outside the armory when he heard a bang and saw the car roll up the hill. He said the driver got frantic. He said the driver became uncontrollable when police arrived. "State police surrounded him and said 'Well, you've got to calm down, you've got to calm down,' he was not calming down so they said we will restrain you," Yelin said. "They then tried to put handcuffs on him because he was very agitated, he resisted so they put him down on the ground and he was still resisting so they tased him." You can kind of make out the path of the car. Incredible it made it up the hill. pic.twitter.com/xPwIXCIaum— Adam Chodak (@AdamChodak) November 22, 2024 Stay with News 8 WROC as we continue to update this developing story.
