North Carolina Zoo earns botanical garden accreditation

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The North Carolina Zoo earned a very special honor this fall. The park is now an accredited botanical garden, one of only a few zoos in the world to receive the status. It stretches 2,800 acres, making it the largest natural habitat zoo in the world. On today's Zoo Filez, FOX8's Shannon Smith highlights some of the plants found in the garden.
