Get your skates on! Headwaters Park ice rink set to open

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Headwaters Park ice skating rink will open to the public for its 23rd season on Saturday.
Skaters can take to the ice starting at noon on the rink located at the northeast corner of Clinton and Superior in downtown Fort Wayne.
As in previous years, there will be lots of special events at the rink. Thursday Theme Nights are back Starting in December, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, skaters can participate in special themed events, with general admission and skate fees applying.
The themes this year range from an energetic '80s Night on December 5, to a pop-filled 'Skate it Off (Taylor’s Version)' on December 12. As the holidays approach, 'Holiday Cheer' will be the theme on December 19. On the day after Christmas the theme will be 'Popular Pop'. Heading into the new year, there’s 'Skate into the New Year' on January 2, followed by 'School Spirit Night' on January 9, 'Sport Jersey Night' on January 16, and 'Broadway Night' on January 23.
Dr. Crawford Days are also returning which feature even more affordable skating. On January 30, February 6, 13 and 20, skaters can take advantage of $1 admission and $1 skate rentals. Each of these days has its own theme, with 'Super Hero Night' on February 6 and a sweet Valentine's-themed 'Sweetheart Skate' on February 13, among others.
