BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Caltrans announced construction will be paused on northbound Interstate 5 near Lebec, with all lanes open beginning Friday morning and lasting until Dec. 2. Caltrans said there will be occasional nighttime lane closures through mid-December to finish concrete surfacing and striping operations. The department asked motorists to stay attentive and avoid distractions, and slow down when driving through work zones.
