Frosty nights and possibly the season's first freeze ahead
Nov 20, 2024
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — If you like fall weather, the end of this week is for you.
Memphis and the Mid-South could experience the first freeze of the season Friday and Saturday morning, the National Weather Service says.
NWS says there is a chance that temperatures could even drop below 30 on Saturday morning, though they say this is a "worst-case scenario."
Temperatures will drop off into the mid and upper 30s Wednesday night all across the Memphis area, and the trend continues after that.
Expect the wind to pick up again Thursday morning with gusts around 30-35 mph. Wind chills will be in the low 30s at times.
Friday, at 7 a.m., the wind chill will reach the upper 20s for most of the area.
