A "very young" child was grazed by gunfire that also killed a man Wednesday morning in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood, Chicago Fire Department officials said. Around 11 a.m., paramedics responded to the 2400 block of South Oakley Avenue for the shooting, fire spokesperson Larry Langford said. The child, described as possibly between 1 and 2 years old, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition after suffering a graze wound from a bullet, Langford said. The man, whose age wasn’t immediately known, was taken to the same hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Langford. Officers at the scene but Chicago Police have not yet released any details related to the shooting. This is a developing story, check back for further details.
