RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A ball was held in Richmond on Saturday to celebrate Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia's milestone year of granting wishes in the Commonwealth. On Saturday, Sept. 28, the Art of Wishes: A Wish Ball Gala was held at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond with an evening filled with hopeful stories, cocktails and entertainment to celebrate the milestones of Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia in the Commonwealth. The event raised nearly $300,000 in raffles from both silent and live auctions for Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia. Several 8News team members attended the event, including 8News Morning Anchor Delaney Hall who was an emcee for the ball.
