ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An annual fiesta sought to spice up the fall season and celebrate New Mexico's state vegetable. The Green Chile Fiesta hosted by the SouthWest Organizing Project brought green chile stew connoisseurs together to compete in a cook-off for the "best of" title. Corrales celebrates autumn with annual harvest festival Organizers said they had vegetable and meat competitors, and the community could vote for their favorite stew. Green Chile wasn't the only new Mexican specialty highlighted at the event. visitors could also check out the low-riders show, local vendors, and live cultural performances by the people who call the Land of Enchantment home.
