One dead in Fremont shooting

(KRON) -- One person was killed in a shooting in Fremont on Thursday afternoon, the Fremont Police Department said. The shooting happened at about 4:40 p.m. near the 40400 block of Grimmer Boulevard. A male victim died at the scene. Police are searching for the suspect. The public is asked to avoid Grimmer Boulevard between Fremont Boulevard and Paseo Padre Parkway.
