TOPEKA (KSNT) - Capital city leaders are set to vote on changes to the city's camping ordinance that would expand restrictions on where camping is permitted. A proposal brought by councilmembers Christina Valdivia-Alcala and Neil Dobler would prohibit camps within 500 feet of any public infrastructure. The current limit is 300 feet. The suggested changes also include expanding the definition of "public infrastructure" to include government buildings and facilities related to public utilities, among other areas.
