(WFRV) - Deputies in Door County are asking drivers to avoid a section of State Highway 57 near Sister Bay after a vehicle hit a utility line pole earlier on Thursday. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the Door County Sheriff's Office, State Highway 57 will be closed between the 42/57 juncture in Sister Bay and County Highway Q in Liberty Grove. WisDOT officials say the incident originally happened around 1 p.m. and that the scene was initially estimated to take over two hours to clear. The Wisconsin Public Service is at the scene assessing the damage and will work to repair the damage as quickly as possible.
