Person hit, killed in crash in East Baton Rouge Parish, officials say

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a crash in East Baton Rouge Parish on Thursday, Sept. 26, according to Baton Rouge emergency medical services officials.
EMS confirmed the person was struck and killed in a major crash that took place at Magnolia Bridge Road and Greenwell Springs Road. The East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office was called to the scene.
The Central Police Department is currently responding to the scene. Officers said the road is now open to both east and westbound traffic on Magnolia Bridge Road, but temporary road closures may take place as the investigation continues.
