WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- On Sept. 25, the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration’s (ABCA) Enforcement Division, along with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) served a closure order to the owner of Flight Pass/Green Room located at 1338 U St. in Northwest D.C. ABCA and MPD said it found that the cannabis business was operating while unlicensed. Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration, DC police shut down second unlicensed cannabis shop The ABCA Board issued the closure order after the business remained open despite a cease and desist order. Police and members of ABCA went to the business while it was being closed down and saw illegal products out in the open. Officers were able to obtain a search warrant and they were able to inspect the business. During the search, police recovered 1,458 grams of Marijuana laced with what they believe is amphetamines, 112.72 grams of THC-laced edibles, 1,736 grams of THC wax, 11.65 grams of THC capsules, 9.8 grams of THC vape cartridges, 11 grams of THC oil and 59 grams of entheogenic mushrooms. No one was arrested, according to MPD. Officers continue to investigate. MCPD: Third person charged in connection to fatal shooting last year This is the fifth illegal cannabis business that has been closed by ABCA since Bill 25-872 took effect on July 15. These are the other businesses that have been closed: September 5: The Supreme Turpene located at 1344 U Street, NW. September 13: The Green Cloud Shop located at 706 Kennedy Street, NW. September 18: The All American Papers located at 504 H Street, NE. September 18: The StonerzDC located at 521 H Street, NE. ABCA said that so far it has issued 26 cease and desist orders and 84 written warning letters to cannabis businesses that have been operating illegally and did not apply to get a medical cannabis business license.
