It's official, Denver! We're going into the record books. The Denver International Airport hit 93-degrees Thursday afternoon, shattering the previous record of 90-degrees, last set back in 2010 and 1892.A ridge of high pressure sitting atop Colorado will keep weather conditions very warm and dry through the weekend.Looking for relief from the heat? A weak, dry cold front will slip across the state overnight, ushering in slightly cooler temperatures and partly cloudy skies. Lows will only drop into the upper 50s in the Denver metro overnight. Denver shatters record high temperature ThursdayDespite the cold front, temperatures will remain about 10 degrees above normal through the weekend. Look for mid-to upper-80s from Friday and Saturday along with mostly sunny skies. Daytime highs will peak again in the lower 90s on Sunday. Denver will be near the date's record high as it stands at 92-degrees, last set in 1892. It looks like this will be our final 90+ degree day of the year.Another dry cold front will race across the state late Monday night into Tuesday, bringing a bit of a cool off for the beginning of October. We'll stay in the upper 70s Tuesday before the 80-degree heat makes a comeback by the middle of next week.Thinking about heading up to the high country to see the fall foliage? This weekend will be picture perfect for it! Highs will be in the 70s in the mountains along with mostly sunny skies.
