(KRON) -- This is it. The A's have played their final game in Oakland on Thursday, a 3-2 win over the Texas Rangers. It's a sad day for fans, including many who have been watching the A's at the Coliseum for decades since they first arrived in the 1960s. However, fans wanted more as a way to remember years' worth of attending A's games at 7000 S Coliseum Way. Something they can cherish forever. In Wednesday night's game against the Rangers, an A's groundskeeper put dirt in fans' cups and bottles to take home. Video on X posted by KRON4's Ben Ross has since gone viral with more than 7 million views. It wasn't just fans who wanted to keep a souvenir of the Coliseum that opened back in 1966. A's closer Mason Miller collected dirt from the mound following the team's 5-1 loss against the Rangers on Wednesday night. A's first baseman Tyler Soderstrom was also seen collecting a souvenir.
