(KRON) -- A teenage boy was arrested for the sexual assault of a teenage girl earlier this month, according to the San Jose Police Department. SJPD patrol officers responded on Sept. 12 at around 5:41 p.m. to a residence in the 4000 block of Evergreen Village Square. According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect -- a juvenile male -- approached the victim -- a juvenile female -- as she was sitting outside. The suspect, police said, tried to engage her in conversation. Petaluma man crashes truck into several houses, passes out: police As the victim stood up, he grabbed her by the waist, refused to release her despite multiple demands, and proceeded to sexually assault her, police said. The suspect was identified following a comprehensive investigation from the SJPD Sexual Assault Investigations Unit (SAIU). On Sept. 13, SAIU detectives located and arrested the suspect in the City of San Jose. He was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for felony sexual assault of a minor.
