TOPEKA (KSNT) - With fall in full swing, many spots in northeast Kansas are hosting events to get you in the spirit of the season. It's officially fall, and businesses across the Sunflower State are planning events for community members to attend. Below is a list of family-friendly fall activities in and around Topeka. How to track Kansas butterflies during migration season Topeka The Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center is bringing back Boo at the Zoo. The event combines the fun of dressing up in your best costume with the enjoyment of seeing the zoo's animals. Visitors can trick-or-treat with vendors throughout the zoo and can also see enrichment activities that the zoo's animals can enjoy, along with Halloween-themed treats. Boo at the Zoo will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Oct. 19 and 26, 2024. Regular zoo admission will provide access to Boo at the Zoo. Members can utilize the express entry near the Giraffe and Friends Exhibit on the south side of the zoo to avoid any lines. West Ridge Mall is hosting the Fall in the Mall Festival. The community is invited to west Topeka for a day full of fall-themed fun like pinking pumpkins, playing games, crafts and visiting the different food vendors. The mall festivities will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. See a full list of Fall in the Mall Festival events below: Zombie Walk with Shockwave Fitness at 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Pumpkin Patch from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Iron Rail Brewing from 10 a.m.-9p.m. Wiener Dog Races with Petland at 1 p.m. Fashion Show from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Super Hero Cosplay from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Masquerade Ball from 9:30 p.m.-Midnight. Are common consumption areas coming to Manhattan? Manhattan For the 14th season in a row, A & H Farms south of Manhattan is bringing back its Fall Festival. The festival will feature a new fall themes every weekend weekend from Saturday Sept. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 27. A & H Farms owner Andrea DeJesus shared the themed weekends with 27 News:  Sept. 28-29 is Peaches! - The last of the farm's Idaho peaches will be on site for one more weekend. Guests can try multiple different drink combinations that pair fall apples with summer peaches. Oct. 5-6 is Cider & Sunshine - People can enjoy cider and different apple varieties at the farm. Fresh pressed, honey crisp, cinnamon, sparkling and hard cider options are available. Apple cider will also be added to ice cream and topped with homemade apple cider donuts. Oct. 12-13 is Ghost Weekend - Take part in the "Ghost Challenge" this weekend. Dress up as a ghost using a bed sheet and fun sunglasses before making a short video set to the song "Oh Klahoma" by Jack Stauber. Oct. 19-20 is Pumpkin Palooza - A weekend dedicated to everything pumpkin. Pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, pumpkin themed cocktails, pumpkin flavored handcrafted drinks and delicious pumpkin treats like pies and lattes can all be found during this time. Oct. 26-27 is Farm Animal Fun Weekend - Get up close with the local farm animals. Special animal interactions, petting zoo experiences and guided animal tours will all be available for children and families.
