Park City School District announced Thursday that Ben Mueller and Isaiah Folau have accepted appointments as Interim Principals at Treasure Mountain Junior High following Caleb Fine’s appointment as Interim Superintendent. Mueller will oversee eighth grade students, and Folau will be responsible for ninth graders. The appointments come shortly after the district appointed current Treasure Mountain principal Caleb Fine as interim superintendent, following Dr. Jill Gildea’s impending retirement from the role. After eight years of teaching middle school in Colorado, Mueller is now in his seventh year working for Park City School District. He taught computer science and technology coaching for three years at Treasure Mountain and did two years as assistant principal.“We’re in a unique position, knowing we’ll be closing at the end of the year for positive reasons,” Mueller said. “It gives us the chance to celebrate the success of our staff and the work we’ve done while ensuring we carry those achievements forward with the high school and Ecker. I’m also excited to work with more families in this new role.”Folau is a Park City High School graduate who also attended Treasure Mountain. He has eight years of teaching and administrative experience, with six years spent teaching elementary school in Idaho and Draper and two years as assistant principal at Treasure Mountain. “As a proud alumnus of Treasure Mountain, I can confidently say that my experiences in Park City Schools have shaped who I am today,” Folau said. “I’m a testament to the amazing work we do here, and I’m excited to continue that legacy and push it forward. I’m looking forward to meeting and interacting with more people and bringing a lot of positive energy to Treasure Mountain.”Fine expressed confidence in the two, their leadership and the positive impact they’ve had up to this point. “Ben and Isaiah bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion to their roles. I am confident our school community is in good hands with their leadership,” said Fine. “They have proven their commitment to our students and staff, and I look forward to the positive impact they will continue to make at TMJH.“We warmly welcome them as they step into these leadership roles, confident that our school remains in capable hands,” said Fine. The post Park City School District appoints two interim principals at Treasure Mountain Junior High appeared first on Park Record.
