Providence Police say one arrested during Kennedy Plaza sweep falsely identified himself

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that one of the 22 people arrested for distributing narcotics in Kennedy Plaza falsely identified himself.
Jeremy Carbonell identified himself as his brother, Luis Carbonell, after an undercover officer purchased cocaine from him.
The warrant for Luis Carbonell was withdrawn and one for Jeremy was issued.
Jeremy Carbonell is currently at the Adult Correctional Institutions awaiting trial on an unrelated case and will be charged with unlawful delivery of cocaine and conspiracy.
