FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A jury found a Fort Wayne man guilty of felony murder and attempted robbery on Thursday in connection to a fake gun deal that turned into a fatal shooting in November 2022. Anfernee Michael Sho Time Dean is the second person charged in connection to the killing of 27-year-old Johnny Yates, Sr., who emergency crews found suffering from gunshot wounds to his back along Monroe Street on Nov. 28., 2022. Teen sentenced to 65 years in fake gun deal turned murder He was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The Allen County Coroner ruled his death a homicide. The state dismissed a gun enhancement charge and determined there to be no evidence that Dean possessed or used a gun. Dean is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 22.
