(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said an investigation over months into a marijuana store in Colorado Springs revealed a variety of illegal drugs and guns being sold at the store. According to CSPD, on April 29, CSPD detectives got information about a store called "Trippie Hippie" located in the area of Iowa Avenue and East Kiowa Street. Police said the information alleged the store was selling illicit drugs and illegal guns. Undercover police made six transactions at the store over six months, which resulted in the purchase of multiple guns, LSD, Ketamine, and marijuana concentrate. On Wednesday, Sept. 25, detectives completed multiple arrests and search warrants associated with the criminal activity at Trippie Hippie. The investigation resulted in felony charges of five identified suspects and warrants for two adjacent locations to Trippie Hippie. Metro Narcotics Unit detectives and CSPD Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) executed search warrants on all three locations. The search found a total of 10,984.87 grams (24.19 pounds) of marijuana, seven handguns, two short barrel rifles, one rifle, 4,716.05 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 34.54 grams of cocaine, 7.39 grams of MDMA, 15.1 grams of prescription pills, 9.17 grams of LSD, 0.12 grams of methamphetamine, two grams of fentanyl, and $1,550 in illicit proceeds. The arrest warrants included money laundering charges, unlawful distribution manufacturing, dispensing, conspiracy, offenses related to marijuana, and special offenders. During the warrant execution, one suspect, 41-year-old Paul Timme, was arrested and taken into custody. Four remaining people wanted on warrants were not on the scene.
