(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — The U.S. Air Force Academy has been ranked one of the nation's best undergrad institutions by the U.S. News and World Report. The Academy ranked as the second best in the Top Public Schools category, the same as last year. It also ranked in other categories including #6 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs. Up one position from last year. #6 in Civil Engineering, up from 7 in 2023. #9 in Electrical/Electronic/Communications. #7 in Mechanical, up from 10 last year. “These rankings show that as a service academy, our faculty and academic staff are on par with some of the finest institutions of higher learning,” said Brig. Gen. Linell Letendre, Dean of the Faculty. “I am extremely proud of the commitment each and every one of them have to the Academy to ensure our cadets become the warfighter scholars that our country deserves.” The Academy was also ranked eighth out of 211 national liberal arts colleges, having risen from 18th in 2022 and the 39th ranking in 2020.
