DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Members of the Dorchester County Fire Rescue Swift Water Rescue Team deployed to the Upstate on Thursday afternoon. The team, made up of firefighters and paramedics from within the county, is headed to Anderson County ahead of Hurricane Helene to assist with recovery efforts. The storm is expected to strike Florida’s Big Bend before moving north through Georgia. South Carolina’s Upstate could see major impacts from the storm.
