DOC: Elayn Hunt Correctional Center head warden, correctional officer placed on suspension

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections has placed the head warden of the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center on suspension impending an investigation.
According to a news release from the DOC, Donnie Bordelon, head warden of the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center, was relieved of his duties due to concerns as to his surveillance of the prison, including the investigation process into reported inappropriate use of force incident over the weekend.
Dixon Correctional Insitute Warden Edward "Dusty" Bickham will take over for Bordelon until a replacement is selected, according to the release.

Officials also announced that they placed a correctional officer on suspension pending an investigation into the connection to his alleged involvement in the reported inappropriate use of force incident.
