AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department provided more details in an incident where a man allegedly killed his wife and then himself in a northwest Austin apartment complex Tuesday, the agency said in a news release Thursday. Around 12:15 p.m., Austin 911 received a call from a woman saying she had not heard from her niece or her niece's husband in the last 24 hours. Then around 1:15 p.m., the woman called again and said she was at the her niece's apartment complex in the 5700 block of Diehl Trail and said she saw the couple's vehicle parked outside. However, no one answered the door, the release said. APD investigating after 2 bodies found at northwest Austin apartment complex Then, around 2:33 p.m. officers responded to the complex, entered the apartment and found the couple dead, according to police. On Thursday, police identified the woman as 25-year-old Hannah Kang and her husband as 34-year-old Youree Kang. According to the investigation, police alleged Youree killed Hannah and then killed himself. This is being investigated as Austin's 46th homicide of 2024, according to police.
