CULPEPER, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Culpeper Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that left a 25-year-old man dead on Wednesday. Police said just after 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 25, the Culpeper County 911 Center received a report regarding a shooting in the 1000 block of Virginia Avenue. Police officers along with deputies from the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office responded to the area where they found a man who had been shot. Frederick County crews battle fire at winery in Mt. Airy EMS was called to scene and he was a taken to the hospital where he died. Police identified the victim as Noah C. Campbell, 25, of Boston, Virginia. During the investigation, Culpeper police collected evidence. However, police are searching for video footage from the area. CPD said videos that might show activity around the time of the shooting can be entered here. Anyone with information can call Sgt. McGuckin at 540-829-5523 or email [email protected].
