Body of missing East Windsor man found near Connecticut River

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WWLP) - A Silver Alert issued on Tuesday for a 64-year-old man in East Windsor has been canceled after a hiker found his body.

According to the East Windsor Police Department, at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Ronald Lavoie was reported missing by a family member. He was last seen driving his white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on Monday afternoon.
At around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, a hiker notified police of a man slumped over in a white pickup truck at the edge of the Connecticut River off of North Water Street. When officers arrived, the body was identified as missing Ronad Lavoie. Police say the investigation is ongoing however it does not appear to be suspicious.
