CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Thursday is National Pancake Day, a day to celebrate with a tall stack of syrupy goodness. Pancakes became a traditional part of Fat Tuesday (Shrove Tuesday) celebrations when revelers would feast before they fasted. They can be rolled and filled with fruit and other fillings, however they are typically stacked and drizzled with flavored syrup. Some also like to add fruit, nuts, chocolate, or whipped topping to them.
