DAUFUSKIE ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) - Strong winds and a possible tornado leave areas of Daufuskie Island with damage. Thursday morning the Daufuskie Fire Department (DFD) responded to a possible tornado touchdown in the Melrose area of the island. The area has experienced fallen trees, blocking multiple roads and some minor roof damage. DFD warns residents that the risk of tornadoes is high.
