Slight chance for showers across the region today due to an approaching system.  Temperatures today will climb to the mid to upper-60s.  Gray skies will prevail with a chance for thunderstorms overnight that may generate heavy rainfall.  Conditions will improve by Friday afternoon with some sunshine and extend through the weekend with temperatures in the 70-degree range.  Next chance for showers, by the middle of next week. Category 2 is the latest information from the National Hurricane Center.  Located about 320 miles SW of Tampa with sustained wind of 100 MPH, gusting up to 115 and moving NNE at 12 MPH.  Already seeing Tornado Warnings along the outer bands.  It’s forecast to make landfall sometime this evening as a Category 3 Hurricane.  Catastrophic or unsurvivable wind and storm surge of up to 20′ feet is expected in some parts.  Some weakening is expected as it moves inland but remain as Category 1 over central and northern Georgia Friday Morning.
