OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking drivers to remain alert and vigilant to the latest construction zones in and around the metro on major highways. Drivers are encouraged to prepare in advance to ensure drive times are not affected in arriving to your final destination. Here are your areas of construction quick breakdown: 🚧OKC: All lanes of SB I-35 will be closed at I-44 & all SB I-35 traffic will be detoured to WB I-44 from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday. 🚧The EB I-44 off-ramp to SB I-35 will be intermittently closed during work. 🚗Drivers can take WB I-44 to SB I-235 to access SB I-35. 🚗Northbound I-35 and eastbound I-44 will remain open during this work. Drivers should use extra caution in the area and expect delays. ODOT traffic alerts, Image courtesy KFOR I-35 narrows to one lane at N.E. 50th St. Wednesday night Northbound I-35 will be narrowed to one lane between N.E. 50th St. and Wilshire Blvd. from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday as part of ongoing work in the area. The northbound I-35 off-ramp to westbound I-44 will remain open during work.  I-35 closes at I-44, I-44 ramp closes at I-35 Thursday night The following closures will impact I-35 and I-44 from 7 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday as part of ongoing work in the area: All lanes of southbound I-35 will be closed at I-44. All southbound I-35 traffic will be detoured to westbound I-44. Drivers wanting to access southbound I-35 will have to take westbound I-44 to southbound I-235. The eastbound I-44 off-ramp to southbound I-35 will be intermittently closed Northbound I-35 and eastbound I-44 will remain open during this work. I-35, I-44 narrowed near N. 63rd St. through 2025 The following closures are in place through 2025 for bridge reconstruction: The northbound I-35 off-ramp to N. 63rd St. is closed through fall 2024. Northbound Bryant Ave. is narrowed to one lane between 50th St. and Aluma Valley Dr. through fall 2024. N. 63rd street is closed between Bryant Ave. and Martin Luther King Ave. North and southbound I-35 is narrowed to two lanes in each direction between N. 50th St. and Wilshire Blvd. Westbound I-44 is narrowed to one lane from Wilshire Blvd. to Martin Luther King Ave. The southbound I-35 on-ramp from Bryant Ave. is permanently closed. Motorists should expect congestion and delays in the area and are encouraged to plan extra travel time. I-235 narrows at N.W. 10th St. Thursday  Southbound I-235 will be narrowed between N.W. 10th St. and I-40 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for light repairs.
